Latest News Today – Dual WhatsApp: How to Use Two Accounts on One Android

[ad_1]

WhatsApp can be used with two different accounts on the same phone. The instant messaging app is among the most popular apps in the world. It allows you to message or call another WhatsApp user no matter where they are in the world, as long as they have an internet connection. The Facebook-owned app is free to download for Android and Apple users and can be used on mobile phones or desktops. However, there are some limitations to the app, such as only WhatsApp account can be used per phone number. However, most manufacturers allow users to set two versions of the same app on their Android smartphones,

Manufacturers including Xiaomi, Samsung, Vivo, Oppo, Huawei, Honor, OnePlus, and Realme allow its users to set up dual apps or parallel apps or twin apps. They use different terminologies for what is essentially a feature that allows users to have two separate versions of the same app, thus allowing for two different apps. Read on to find out how you can enable this feature on different phones.

Xiaomi phone users running MIUI can head to Settings > Apps > Dual apps. Samsung phone users can head to Settings > Advance features > Dual Messenger. Vivo users can go to Settings > Apps and notifications > App Clone. Oppo phone users can tap on Settings > App Cloner. Huawei and Honor phone users can go to Settings > Apps > App twin. OnePlus lets its users clone apps by heading to Settings > Utilities > Parallel Apps. Finally, Realme users can go to Settings > App management > App cloner.

Now, here’s how you can use two WhatsApp accounts on one Android smartphone.

How to use dual WhatsApp on one smartphone

  1. To enable a second account on WhatsApp, head to Settings.

  2. Look for Dual apps, App Clone, App twin, or Parallel Apps. The name of the feature would depend on the smartphone you are using.

  3. There should be a toggle against WhatsApp app, turn it on.

  4. Wait for the process to complete and head back to the home screen.

  5. You should see a second WhatsApp icon with some kind of marking on it, identifying it’s a second version of the same app.

  6. Open it and you will be greeted with the WhatsApp setup screen.

  7. Tap on Agree and Continue.

  8. On the next screen, enter a different phone number from the one you’ve already used to set up WhatsApp and tap on Next.

  9. You will then receive an OTP for verification.

  10. After entering the OTP, you will be asked to complete the setup process after which a second WhatsApp account will be set up.

You now have two WhatsApp accounts on the same smartphone.

Latest News Today – “Central Agencies Harassing, Let’s Join Hands With BJP

[ad_1]

MLA Pratap Sarnaik’s son Vihang, too, was questioned by the ED last year in a money laundering case.

Highlights

  • Shiv Sena MLA Pratap Sarnaik wrote a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister
  • It is better to join hands with PM Modi again, his letter stated
  • Several properties connected to Mr Sarnaik were raided last year

Mumbai:

A Shiv Sena MLA has said that the party should team up with the BJP again to save its leaders from being harassed by central agencies. In a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, legislator Pratap Sarnaik has said the former allies must patch up “before it is too late”, especially for the many upcoming corporation elections, including those of Mumbai and Thane.

Mr Sarnaik, who represents Thane’s Ovala-Majiwada constituency in the state Assembly, said though the BJP and the Shiv Sena are not allies anymore, their leaders have good relations and that “we should make use of this”.

“Several central agencies are behind me and other Shiv Sena leaders like Anil Parab and Ravindra Waikar, and they and their families are being harassed,” Mr Sarnaik wrote in his letter which reached the Chief Minister’s Office on June 10.

“It is better to join hands with Prime Minister Narendra Modi again as Shiv Sainiks feel that would save the Sena leaders…from problems,” he said.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) had, last year, raided several properties belonging to Mr Sarnaik in connection with a money laundering case. His son, Vihang Sarnaik, too, was questioned by the agency.

The Shiv Sena, which heads the Maharashtra Vikas Aghadi (MVA) coalition government, had then accused the Centre of targeting the MLA.

Mr Sarnaik wrote in the letter that the Congress, which is an alliance partner in MVA, will go alone in the corporation polls, while the NCP, another alliance partner, is trying to lure and break away Shiv Sena’s own MLAs into their fold.

“Shiv Sena MLAs wonder whether the MVA has been formed, by breaking the alliance with the BJP, to help the Congress and NCP grow,” he wrote.

Reacting to Mr Sarnaik’s letter, Maharashtra BJP leader Kirit Somaiya said the Sena MLA’s suggestion stems from his fear of being jailed, PTI reported.

“All corrupt leaders of the Shiv Sena — Pratap Sarnaik, Anil Parab, Ravindra Waikar — will have to be in jail,” he said. Mr Somaiya also said he had lodged a complaint at a police station in Thane about Sarnaik going “missing” for the past 100 days, according to PTI.

The Shiv Sena ended its long-term ties with the BJP in 2019 following a dispute over power-sharing in Maharashtra. The Sena then came to power in an alliance with ideological rivals, the NCP and Congress.

KT Rama Rao urges Centre to set up vaccine testing facility | Sidnaz Blog

[ad_1]

HYDERABAD: Municipal Administration and Industries minister KT Rama Rao has urged the central government to set up a vaccine testing facility in Hyderabad on a war foot.
“There is an urgent need to set up a second testing facility, and Hyderabad is an ideal location to host such a facility, as the city has a large number of vaccine manufacturers,” stated KTR in a letter to union health minister Harsh Vardhan.
Hyderabad has emerged as the vaccination capital of the world by producing one-third of the global vaccines. Covaxin is developed and being manufactured in the city.
“The testing of each batch of vaccine produced in the country is being carried out only in the Central Drug Laboratory, Kasauli. And for the entire process of sending the vaccination batch from Hyderabad to Kasauli takes approximately 30-45 days, which is time-consuming, and cost-intensive,” said KTR.
Over the next few months, a significant number of Coronavirus vaccines will be produced in Hyderabad and that the official reports and projections of Government of India state that almost 50% of the total Covid-19 vaccine supply between August and December 2021 will be from Hyderabad.
“For the projected capacity of a billion doses in Hyderabad between August to December 2021, having a testing centre in Hyderabad could result in accelerated throughput of about 8-10 crore additional vaccine doses per month in the country’s overall supply,” KTR said.
Referring to experts’ predictions on the third wave between September-December, he said vaccines are the only solution for this fight against Covid-19, and hence increasing the rate of vaccination is even more critical.
KTR sought to assure the Centre that Telangana government will extend complete support in establishment of vaccine testing facility on a fast track mode. “The testing centre could be established in an existing set up like the National Animal Resource Facility for Biomedical Research, Central Drug Testing Laboratory Hyderabad to address the immediate requirement while a state-of-the-art full-fledged facility can be built in parallel to cater to testing requirements on a long term to ensure uninterrupted national and global supply of vaccines,” KTR stated.
Telangana government will facilitate land as required in the Genome Valley cluster of Hyderabad which has emerged as the vaccine hub, he added.

Latest News Today – How to Book COVID-19 Vaccine via Paytm App: Follow These

[ad_1]

Looking for an easy way to book COVID-19 vaccine? You can use Paytm. The Paytm app can help you book COVID-19 vaccine in a few easy steps. Paytm — generally used for mobile recharges, bill payments, or making payments offline — has emerged as one of the first third-party solutions to enable COVID-19 vaccine bookings through the CoWIN portal. It can be used to search and book slots for both Covaxin and Covishield vaccines. You can also choose whether you want to book a vaccine for a person between the 18–44 age group or above.

Paytm offers Vaccine Finder on its app for both Android and iOS devices with the option to book COVID-19 vaccine. The company has leveraged the government’s recent update to CoWIN guidelines to enable the new experience.

In the article, we are providing steps you need to take to book your COVID-19 vaccine using Paytm.

How to book COVID-19 vaccine via Paytm app

Below are the steps on how you can book COVID-19 vaccine through Paytm. But before getting started, it is recommended to have the latest version of Paytm app installed on your device. You also need to register on the CoWIN portal beforehand to book vaccine slots.

  1. Open Paytm app and scroll through the homescreen to find Vaccine Finder.

  2. Enter your PIN code on the Vaccine Slot Finder screen. You can also search for a nearby vaccination centre by switching to the Search by District option.

  3. Select the age group for which you’re looking to book the vaccine.

  4. Choose whether you want the first dose or the second one.

  5. Tap the Book now button. Paytm will then ask you to enter your mobile number that you want to use on CoWIN.

  6. You’ll now receive a one-time password (OTP) that you need to enter on the screen to proceed with your booking.

  7. Once the OTP is entered, the app will now show you the available centres and slots in your selected location. You can also switch between free and paid slots and filter slots that have Covishield — depending on their availability. Also, if no slots are available in your location, the app will show you with a Notify me when slots are available button to let you receive a notification when a new slot is available in your locality.

  8. Now, you’ll see the available slots from where you can choose an appropriate one by tapping Book Now.

  9. You will now have to add a new beneficiary for vaccination by pressing Add New. The app will ask you to select beneficiary’s photo ID, proof ID number, full name, year of birth, and gender. Hit Submit.

  10. The app will now let you choose between the available timings at your selected vaccination centre. Pick one from the list and then press Schedule Now.

Paytm will provide you the appointment slip once you’re done with the booking process. You will be required to show that slip at the time of vaccination.

The Natural-Gas Glut Has Evaporated, Driving Prices Higher | Sidnaz Blog

[ad_1]

Natural-gas prices are starting the summer air-conditioning season nearly twice as high as they were a year ago.

Demand for the fuel is picking up as the world’s economies reopen and as Americans dial down their thermostats for what is expected to be a hot summer. Meanwhile, U.S. producers have stuck to the skimpy drilling plans they sketched out when prices were lower, eliminating the glut that was keeping them depressed.

Natural-gas futures ended Friday at $3.215 per million British thermal units, up 96% from a year ago and the highest price headed into summer since 2017. Futures traded even higher—and regional spot prices jumped—when triple-digit temperatures baked the Southwest earlier this month. Analysts expect prices to be even higher later in the year when it is time to fire up furnaces.

It isn’t just in the U.S. where gas is running high. Dutch gas futures, a barometer for prices in Western Europe, have more than doubled over the past year—including a sharp rise since February—to multiyear highs. In Asia, imported liquefied natural gas is fetching more than five times what it did last June, beckoning tankers full of chilled shale gas across the Pacific.

More expensive gas has stoked demand in international markets for coal, with which gas competes to fuel power plants. Futures prices for thermal coal loaded at a terminal in Newcastle, Australia, have more than doubled from a year ago. The benchmark price has added 27% over the past month and hasn’t been so high in nearly a decade.

If higher prices persist, Americans can expect bigger utility bills. The work-from-home class could feel a pinch. The pandemic shifted energy costs from employers to employees, who have heated and cooled home offices and run electronics when they would normally be away at work.

Besides being burned to generate electricity and for hot showers and cooking, natural gas is consumed in large volumes to make plastic, fertilizer, steel and cement. Monetary-policy makers don’t consider energy prices when gauging inflation because they are so volatile. Yet climbing gas prices are adding to the costs of producing manufactured goods at a time when investors are on edge about the potential for runaway inflation.

“These are the consequences of the underinvestment we’ve seen in natural gas,” said Colin Fenton, chairman of investment banking at Houston’s Tudor, Pickering, Holt & Co. “What’s notable is these prices are happening with industrial demand, more than a quarter of the market, so early in its recovery.”

More natural gas has been needed to cool homes and businesses during a recent heat wave that pushed temperatures above 100 degrees in Los Angeles.

Photo:

David Paul Morris/Bloomberg News

U.S. natural-gas output peaked in December 2019. March marked the 11th straight month in which production in the contiguous 48 states declined, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration. There are only five more rigs drilling for gas now than the 92 operating at the end of March, according to oil-field service firm

Baker Hughes Co.

Appalachian energy producers, which control the country’s gas spigots, have taken a cautious approach to reopening the wells they shut last spring when the pandemic sank prices. Drillers in the Haynesville shale that straddles Texas and Louisiana have been slow to tap their reserve of wells that have been drilled but not yet fracked to start them flowing.

Gas producers had suffered for years from low prices caused by their own market-glutting gushers. Shareholders and analysts pressured producers to focus less on growing volume and more on profitability.

The reward has been climbing stock prices. Shares of gas producers

Range Resources Corp.

and

Antero Resources Corp.

have been some of the best performers in the rebounding energy sector, both up more than 40% over the past three months.

A mild start to winter threatened to leave the country’s gas-storage caverns filled to capacity until February, when Texas froze over. Demand for heat shot up at the same time that many ice-choked wells stopped flowing.

Overseas buyers are clamoring for shale gas to restock depleted inventories after canceling cargoes a year ago. Demand from Mexico has increased with the opening of a new pipeline system south of the border. Drought has reduced hydropower in the western U.S., and it is being made up for with more gas to cool homes and businesses during the heat wave that last week pushed temperatures above 100 degrees in Phoenix, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.

All the demand has meant smaller injections into U.S. stockpiles, which are built up during the spring and summer ahead of winter, when demand usually outstrips production. U.S. gas inventories, which brimmed near all-time highs in November, are now 16% below last year’s levels and 4.9% less than the five-year average for this time of year.

“In the past we’ve had these demand gains, but they were all overwhelmed by production increases,” said Kent Bayazitoglu, who tracks gas supplies for Baker & O’Brien Inc., an energy consulting firm. “We don’t have that any more.”

Retail energy companies compete with local utilities to give U.S. consumers more choice. Flooded with complaints from several income tax payers who are also shareholders in the company regarding the new e-filing portal, Information Technology giant Infosys has assured that it is committed to resolve all glitches being faced by users within the next few weeks, even as it claimed that close to one lakh users have filed their income tax returns so far through the platform.

Replying to questions raised by shareholders during the company’s 40th annual general meeting held on Saturday, related to the problems being faced while using the new income tax portal, Infosys’ chief operating officer (COO) UB Pravin Rao said that the company is concerned at the inconvenience being faced by users, and will try to address the problems of crores of taxpayers.

“We are deeply concerned at the initial inconvenience being faced by users because of the e-filing portal and are committed to resolve the issues at the earliest within the next few weeks on the basis of all the feedback received from people,” Mr Rao said.

He said that the company has received several complaints about the new platform and is working to resolve the concerns of the users.

At the same time Mr Rao told shareholders during the virtual meeting that with several new features added to the e-filing portal and with many initial problems addressed, close to one lakh users have managed to file their returns so far through it.

He informed shareholders that Infosys has been working with the Government of India for a long period of time and is trying to ensure a seamless experience to crores of taxpayers.

The company’s assurance has come at a time when – flooded with complaints about the portal – the Finance Ministry has summoned Infosys officials on June 22 for a meeting to discuss the matter and resolve the problems being faced in the portal, at the earliest.

The new portal had been thrown open for public use on June 7, however on June 8 itself, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had highlighted the issue of technical problems being faced by users on social media, and had asked Infosys chairman Nandan Nilekani to look into the matter.
