Latest News Today – How to Download Windows 11 on Your PC: Follow These

[ad_1]

Windows 11 is arriving to deliver you the best experience that Microsoft has designed this year. The new operating system is promised to start rolling out as a free upgrade to Windows 10 users later this year. But if you can’t wait and are looking for a way to download Windows 11 right away, you can certainly take a short route and download the Insider Preview build of the latest operating system on your system today. This will let you experience Windows 11 ahead of its public debut.

Microsoft has not given any exact timeline on when we will get Windows 11 as an upgrade on our Windows 10 machines. Nonetheless, the Redmond, Washington-based company is expected to roll it out by as early as October. This means that you would be able to get the new Windows version on your machine sometime later this year — or next year — depending on the rollout process.

However, Microsoft has provided the Windows 11 Insider Preview to let you test the newest Windows operating system ahead of its official rollout. Here’s how you can do that.

How to download Windows 11 on your PC

Before beginning with the steps on how you can download Windows 11 Insider Preview on your PC, it is important to note that Insider Preview builds are specifically designed for testing purposes and are not meant to be installed on your primary PC. You would also experience some bugs and errors, and some of the features that Microsoft showcased last month are not a part of the Insider build. Still eager to get started? You can follow the steps below.

  1. Sign up for the Windows Insider Program by going to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Insider Program. And then, press Register and Sign Up. If you’re already a part of the Windows Insider community, you can sign in to your account and click Start flighting.

  2. Review the Privacy Statement and terms appearing on your screen and click Submit.

  3. Select Dev Channel from the Insider settings to download and install the current Windows 11 build meant for Windows Insider Preview and hit the Confirm button.

  4. Your machine will now ask you to Read the Microsoft Insider Privacy Statement and Agreement. Once you have reviewed the statement and terms, click on Confirm.

  5. Now, press Restart Now to restart your machine to get the Insider Preview build.

  6. After restarting, make sure you are connected to an active Internet connection. You can then go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and click the Check for updates button.

  7. Your PC will start downloading the latest build from a Microsoft server.

Notably, Windows 11 has certain minimum hardware requirements that must be met to download the Insider Preview build. You can check out those requirements from the Microsoft website.

Latest News Today – Battlegrounds Mobile India Beta Released for Download

[ad_1]

Battlegrounds Mobile India, the PUBG Mobile replacement, is finally available to play, sort of. The game was available in open beta but only to a limited number of testers. More slots will be added over the course of the day, the company said in a press statement. Battlegrounds Mobile India was announced in the first week of May and went up for pre-registrations on May 18. Since then, fans have been eagerly waiting to play the game.

Krafton, through its official Battlegrounds Mobile India Facebook page shared that the game in is Early Access or open beta and that fans can download and play. However, it looks like the beta was only available for a short time to a limited number of beta testers and the beta programme is full on Google Play. The beta testing link either shows an ‘Internal server error’ or a message that says the testing programme has reached the maximum number of testers.

Update: On Friday, Krafton announced in a post on the Battlegrounds Mobile India Facebook page that the Early Access build is now available to everyone, with company seeming to have made more slots available in the beta programme. You can access it from the beta testing link seen above. Those who get on board during this Early Access period will get the following in-game items: 1x Supply Crate Coupon, 2x EXP Card, and a 2x BP Card.

One of the users got Early Access to Battlegrounds Mobile India today and the screenshot shared on Twitter shows the game will be 721MB in size. Along with users who were able to get access, there are quite a few who weren’t able to and have shared their disappointment on Twitter.

Ershad Kaleebullah from MySmartPrice shared some gameplay footage from Battlegrounds Mobile India along with some observations. The in-game blood is green instead of red, there are quite a few warnings about safe gaming, data can be carried over from PUBG Mobile, and an OTP is not required to log in. Even the map and settings options seem to be the same as PUBG Mobile.

This open beta comes one day ahead of the expected launch date of June 18 which makes it seem like the game will not launch tomorrow. Past leaks had suggested that Krafton will release the game to the public on June 18 but there has been no confirmation from the developer.

Battlegrounds Mobile India is the Indian version of PUBG Mobile that was banned in the country last September. It comes with some tweaks, which have now been made somewhat clearer. The game is essentially PUBG Mobile as the battle royale experience is the same.

Latest News Today – Spotify Premium Users Can Now Download Music for Offline

[ad_1]

Spotify has announced that it is bringing the ability to download playlists, albums, and podcasts on Apple Watch for offline listening. Users will be required to have a Spotify Premium account and an Apple Watch Series 3 or later to experience downloads option. Spotify competitor and Apple’s in-house music streaming service Apple Music has had an offline playback support on the Apple Watch for quite some time. However, several Spotify subscribers have been demanding a similar option since the launch of its app in November 2018.

“Starting today, we’re beginning to roll out the ability for Premium users to download playlists and podcasts to Apple Watch for offline use,” Spotify said in a statement.

Users with Apple Watch Series 3 and later running on watchOS 6.0 or later (recommended watchOS 7.1 and up) will be able to access offline music downloads from their Spotify Premium account. This will also require users to have the latest version of the Spotify app on their iPhone.

Once the prerequisites are in place, you’ll have to choose the Download to Apple Watch option by pressing the three dots (…) button on your favourite playlist, album, or podcast to download your content for offline listening on Apple Watch. You will also be able to check the progress by heading over to the Downloads section on the watch.

A little green arrow will be available next to the names of the playlists, albums, and podcasts that are downloaded on your Apple Watch. All you need to do is to connect your headphones to your Apple Watch and start listening to the music — without requiring you to carry your iPhone.

You can also use Siri on your Apple Watch to play songs, albums, playlists, and podcasts. You can also mark one of your music tracks as ‘favourite’, ask ‘what’s currently playing’, or make adjustments such as control volume, skip track, play, or pause a song using Siri.

Spotify says the new experience will be available to all eligible Apple Watch users globally over the coming weeks.

Earlier this week, Spotify announced that it was bringing support for offline playlists and podcasts to Wear OS devices. That update is, however, yet to reach users.

Koo App: From How to Download Koo to App Features, | Sidnaz Blog

[ad_1]

Koo, an Indian alternative to Twitter, has become the talk of the town as it promotes Aatmanirbhar Bharat by offering a a Twitter-like experience, but in Indian languages. It is available as an app on both iOS and Android, and also has a webpage. Koo is the winner of the government’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat app challenge from 2020. Although it largely faded from the spotlight after that, the app has again gained popularity after Twitter refused to take down some content that the government had ordered it to remove. This takedown is an ongoing matter, but in the meanwhile, government bodies like MeitY, and senior politicians like Union Minister Piyush Goyal, have been tweeting about Koo and their accounts on that platform.

What is Koo?

Koo is a microblogging service just like Twitter where users can express their opinions. It has been developed by Aprameya Radhakrishna, who is the co-founder and CEO. Koo was launched in March last year and it won The Digital India AatmaNirbhar Bharat Innovate Challenge that finds the best Indian apps that have the potential to become world class apps. The idea behind the app was to allow Indian users to share their opinions in local languages, according to the ‘about’ section on the Koo website.

“Just 10 percent of India speaks English. Almost 1 billion people in India don’t know English. Instead they speak one of India’s 100s of languages. They are now getting access to smartphones and would love an internet in their language.” It goes on to state, “Koo is an attempt to make the voice of these Indians heard. They can now participate on the internet in their mother tongue by listening to the views of some of the sharpest Indian minds and also speak their mind by sharing their thoughts.”

Koo app is available for free on Android and iOS, and there is a website as well where you can check out the feed.

Why is Koo in the news?

Koo got back into the spotlight after Union Minister Piyush Goyal tweeted about joining the homegrown microblogging platform. This comes during the ongoing disagreement between the Indian government and Twitter. The government reportedly told Twitter to remove over 1,000 accounts that it said were spreading misinformation and provocative content about the protests. Twitter did not agree to this, and said it didn’t take any action on accounts related to media entities, journalists, activists, and politicians.

Not just Goyal, there are other senior politicians who are using Koo, including Minister of Electronics and IT Ravi Shankar Prasad and Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa. Government ministries and departments such as the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), Central Board of Indirect Taxes (CBIC), National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT), India Post, MyGovIndia, Digital India, and National Informatics Centre (NIC), among others, are also on the platform.

How do I download Koo?

Koo is a free app available on both Android and iOS. Alternatively, users can head to Google Play and search for “Koo”. The app is named “Koo: Connect with Indians in Indian Languages” on Google Play. It is named just “Koo” on the App Store with Bombinate Technologies Private Limited as the provider.

You can head to the website and click on the Google Play or App Store download options to be redirected to a download link.

What are Koo’s features?

Koo has features that are quite similar to Twitter. It allows users to follow individuals and browse through a feed. Users can write messages in text or share them in audio or video formats. It has Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Tamil, and English language options, with other coming soon. It also allows people to express their opinions in their local languages.

Messages can be written up 400 characters and are called “Koo”. There are language communities which essentially show all content in a particular language.

Is LG Wing’s unique design alone enough to help it succeed in India? We discussed this on Orbital, our weekly technology podcast, which you can subscribe to via Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, or RSS, download the episode, or just hit the play button below.
