Virat Kohli’s 9-Month-Old Daughter Gets – Latest news headlines

Threats were issued against the daughter of Virat Kohli and Anuskha Sharma

New Delhi:

The Delhi Commission for Women has issued a notice to Delhi Police over online rape threats to the daughter of Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli and Bollywood actor Anushka Sharma.

The way the nine-month-old was threatened on Twitter is “very shameful”, DCW Chairperson Swati Maliwal tweeted, urging the police to share information regarding the investigation in the case.

“The team has made us proud thousands of times, why this silliness in defeat,” Ms Maliwal said.

The DCW has sought information, including a copy of the FIR (first information report), details of the accused identified and arrested, and also a detailed “action taken report”, in the matter.

“If no accused has been arrested, please provide the details of steps taken by Delhi Police to arrest the accused,” the notice – sent today – said.

The police have been asked to provide the requested information by November 8.

Hateful comments against Virat Kohli’s daughter started appearing on social media after India’s loss to Pakistan in the T20 World Cup in Dubai. Mr Kohli was also attacked after he spoke against the incessant trolling of his teammate, Mohammed Shami, who was targeted over his religion after the loss.

Attacking someone over their religion is the most pathetic thing one can do as a human. That is a very sacred and personal thing. People take out their frustration because they have no understanding of what we do,” Virat Kohli told reporters during a pre-match press conference on the eve of the Super 12 encounter against New Zealand.

India vs New Zealand Live Score: India conceded a 32-run lead in the first innings.© Twiter/BCCI

Indian openers Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill gave India a steady start in the second innings in session three on Day 5. Earlier, India struck regularly with the second new ball but New Zealand skipper Kane Williamson played a gutsy knock of 49 runs to help his side take a crucial 32-run lead in the first innings. Mohammed Shami claimed four wickets while Ishant Sharma took two wickets on Day 5 to dismiss New Zealand for 249 runs. The ill-fated inaugural World Test Championship final between India and New Zealand resumed at Southampton on Tuesday after an hour’s delay following the latest rain interruption to blight the showpiece match. 91 overs are scheduled to be bowled in three sessions of play today, BCCI confirmed. After rain meant the whole of Monday’s play was washed without a ball bowled — the second time in the match this had had happened after Friday’s opening day went the same way — there were hopes the match would resume as scheduled at 10:30 am local time (0930 GMT). But instead players and supporters at south coast county Hampshire’s headquarters had to wait until 11:30 am (1030 GMT) instead. (LIVE SCORECARD)

Latest News Today – India vs New Zealand WTC Final, Day 4, Live Score: 1st

India vs New Zealand Live Score: The first session on Day 4 was washed out due to rain.© Twitter/ICC

As per the latest updates, rain continued to play spoilsport after the opening session of Day four was washed out due to rain. After weather-related interruptions on the first three days of play in the World Test Championship (WTC) final between India and New Zealand, the rain Gods didn’t seem to be kind on Day 4 as well. On Day 3, New Zealand were excellent with both bat and ball, bowling out India for 217 runs before a 70-run opening stand between Devon Conway and Tom Latham put India on the backfoot. However, in the last session, Ravichandran Ashwin and Ishant Sharma got the Indian team back into the game with the wickets of both openers. Captain Kane Williamson is at the crease along with the most senior batsman of the side in Ross Taylor. New Zealand were 101/2 at stumps on Day 3. While the advantage of two wickets in the final session lay with India, everything depends on how both the teams go in the first session on Day 4. Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja will look to exploit the rough patches on the pitch while New Zealand will be hoping to go past the Indian score and take a big first-innings lead. Latest News Today – WTC Final: Virat Kohli Shows Off His Dance Moves As Fans

Virat Kohli appeared to be in a jolly mood in early on in New Zealand’s first innings.© AFP

Virat Kohli enjoyed himself on the field as he grooved to some old-school Bhangra on Day 3 of the World Test Championship final against New Zealand at The Ageas Bowl in Southampton. Shortly after New Zealand came out to bat in the second session of the day, Kohli, who was fielding in the slips during the ninth over of the innings was seen dancing to the sound of dhols being played by the fans at the stadium. Kohli, who is known for his crowd-pleasing antics when on the field, tried to get the fans behind the team as India attempt to win the first-ever WTC final.

Kohli was one of India’s top scorers in their first innings even as India were bowled out for 217, courtesy of a menacing spell of 5 for 31 by Kyle Jamieson.

Kohli made 44 while his deputy Ajinkya Rahane top-scored for India with 49 runs as India could add only 71 runs to their overnight total of 146 for 3.

His antics aside, Kohli’s tactics in the field finally bore fruit for India in the third session when Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed New Zealand opener Tom Latham for 30 to give India their first wicket after an opening stand of 70 runs.

The World Test Championship final was scheduled to be played from June 18 to 22 with June 23 as a reserve day.

The first day was washed out due to rain and New Zealand chose to field after winning the toss on Day 2.

Latest News Today – WTC Final: Behind-The-Scenes Pics From Virat Kohli, Kane

Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson will face off in the WTC final starting on Friday.© Twitter

Virat Kohli and Kane Williamson have developed a close friendship over the last few years, as the India captain confirmed in his press conference ahead of the World Test Championship (WTC) final against New Zealand. However, he was quick to point out that all friendships are left outside the pitch and it is purely professional for both teams when they step out to contest for the WTC crown. However, the camaraderie was on display on the eve of the final as the two captains had their customary photo-shoot before the match.

New Zealand Cricket took to Twitter to share some behind-the-scenes pictures of the two captains.

“Photo time for the skippers means it’s nearly time to play,” they captioned the post on Twitter.

The International Cricket Council (ICC) also shared a picture of Kohli and Williamson.

The two teams are set to face off after two years of gruelling competition. India and New Zealand both faced snags in their journey to the summit clash, but finished above the rest of the competition.

New Zealand, in fact, are the only team to have won a series against India during the WTC cycle.

India, earlier on Thursday, announced their playing XI for the match.

India have opted to field both Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja to complement their three-man pace attack.

Ishant Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami have been picked among the quicks, with Mohammed Siraj and Umesh Yadav missing out.

Latest News Today – Suryakumar Yadav Opens Up On “Fierce” Clash With Virat

Suryakumar Yadav has made a mark in the cricketing world with his brilliant form in limited overs formats in the last few years, and was rewarded with an international debut in India’s last T20 International (T20I) series, against England. However, his batting aside, he managed to grab eyeballs when he was involved in a heated moment with India captain Virat Kohli during Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020. Speaking about the incident – which happened in Abu Dhabi during the league stage match between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bangalore — during a live chat on Mumbai Indians’ Instagram handle, the batsman said that he was happy that Kohli was having a go at him, as it meant that the RCB skipper wanted to get him out.

Kohli kept chattering to Suryakumar through MI’s chase, but he had kept his cool and did not respond at the time, staying unbeaten as his team romped to victory.

He went on to say that as he was in the zone during the match and determined to finish the game for his team, he was too focused to be distracted by anything.

Suryakumar Yadav said that Kohli is “electrifying” on the pitch and goes hard at any batsman up against him.

“It’s not just me, he goes hard at any batsman batting against him,” Suryakumar Yadav said about Kohli.

“I was happy that he sledged me,” he said. “It means even Kohli knew that if I bat on, we will win the match and if they got my wicket, then maybe they could slow us down and create a chance to win.”

Suryakumar went on to hit an unbeaten 79 as MI chased down 165 to beat RCB in the match.

He said that it was only heated up in the moment and they were normal after the match. He also added that he has a huge amount of respect for Virat Kohli.

Later in the live chat, he was asked about his fiercest rivalry in cricket, and said that while it wasn’t exactly a rivalry, but the little clash with Kohli could be counted as one of his fiercest moments.

“I am a cool and calm customer on the pitch, so I don’t get into these rivalries. But there was that moment in Abu Dhabi, so I guess that can go down as one,” he said.
